Adaptation to Technical Progress of Annex I for Cadmium: Following a risk assessment and cost/benefit analysis it was decided to extend for a further 3 years the derogations granted to Sweden and Austria, whose legislation concerning the use of cadmium in pigments, stabilisers and plating is more restrictive. The EU rule remains unchanged. The use of cadmium, restricted to these particular applications, is allowed.
